I want to let you know that no matter what you do in Nigeria (Online buiz, marketing etc) as long as you are starting, there is need to browse free of charge since our ISPs cannot give us cheap internet services that are reliable as our counterparts in the rest of the world.
That is why I put up this little blog to keep you updated on what I call FREE Browsing Technologies. So to browse the internet free on your phone with an Mtn line, follow the following step s
1. Make sure your phone is a gprs enabled phone.
2. If it is a nokia phone, you can do any of the following to activate the gprs
i. Send settings to 3888 as an sms for Mtn users. If they have the settings for your phone, they will send it via sms. When you receive the sms, save it ( for nokia phones) or install it as in the case of samsung phones.
N/B: For nokia users, you can go HERE to configure your phone.
3. When the G or E or 3G sign is showing, you can go to bookmarks from the phone browser and add the following address 10.199.212.8/a:0@www.google.com/gwt/n or any other site in place of www.google.com/gwt/n and there you go browsing free on the net.
If your phone is not a nokia phone and cannot be configured automatically by mtn you can use the following for the manual configuration
· GO TO SETTINGS
· GO TO CONFIGURATION
· GO TO PERSONAL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
· CLICK ADD NEW
· ACCOUNT NAME: MTN GPRS

ZAIN FREE BROWSING ON PC
For free browsing with a zain line, follow the following instructions
1. Purchase a zain line and go HERE to configure it free of charge. You can give me the zain number so i will configure it for you.
N/B: For manual configuration do the following
i. GO TO SETTINGS
· GO TO CONFIGURATION
· GO TO PERSONAL CONFIGURATION SETTINGS
· CLICK ADD NEW
· ACCOUNT NAME: Zain

· USE PREFFERED ACCESS POINT SETTINGS: no
· GO TO ACCESS POINT SETTINGS
· PROXY: ENABLED

· GO TO BEARER SETTINGS
· PACKET DATA ACCESS POINT: wap.ng.zain.com
· NETWORK TYPE: IPV4

Another way of activating a zain line is by sending the following (wap nokia 6070) as a text message to 232 and save the configuration settings they will send to you.
2. Download nokia pc suite from nokia website and install it. You can download the pc suit HERE
3. Make sure you can connect the phone to your system using a Bluetooth or usb cable and then Pay N3,000 to the following accout

ETISALAT FREE BROWSING ON PC WITH FREEDOM AND PC SUIT
This is the free browsing settings for etisalat on pc using pc suite and freedom software
Apn for PC suite: "etisalat" (no username or password. So type etisalat.
After connecting to pc suite...use these for your freedom
Freedom server: ems01.your-freedom.de, connection mode: UDP,
Proxy address: 010.071.170.005 or 10.71.170.5, Port: 8080
Save and exit...then connect freedom... And enjoy etisalat free browsing
